Hamelin
Hamelin is the query language every query field in Perpetual holds. It is
a pipe language. A query reads rows from a dataset and passes them through a
chain of commands separated by |.
Those query fields belong to
detections,
parsers,
mappers,
tables, views,
lookups, the panels of a
dashboard, and the query blocks on a
case. The data plane compiles and runs all of
them, and reports the compiler version it is running as deployedHamelinVersion
on each heartbeat. What a query may do depends on where it runs. A parser's
query, for example, may read only connector datasets.
